The waters we are swimming in Part 1: Understanding Whiteness - (DEIC, Pre-Register) Online
This workshop is designed to help participants develop a greater sense of empathy towards Black, Indigenous and people of color and to inspire towards anti-racism work. Participants will increase their awareness about the history of racial injustices and the resulting impact on black Americans. Additionally, participants will learn about white privilege and reflect on their respective roles in maintaining white supremacy. Lastly, participants will engage in action planning to disrupt and/or dismantle patterns that are perpetuating these inequalities within their sphere of influence.
