While many gains have occurred worth celebrating, members of our LGBTQIA+ community still find themselves under physical, legal, mental and social attacks, particularly our trans community. This is why it is so important that we continue to hold this space, be our unapologetic and whole selves, and stand united in community against a world that continues to prefer we simply not exist in it. 

And at the center of our Pride Summit celebration this year is intersectionality, the analytical framework for understanding how groups' and individuals' social and political identities result in unique combinations of discrimination and privilege.
