Google Gemini: Content planning and AI-assisted feedback Online

Register on  SBCTC's website!

This session is part of SBCTC’s seven-part Faculty AI Learning Series, facilitated by instructional designer Yun Moh. Each session features presentations, hands-on practice, and take-away resources to help you explore ways to integrate AI into teaching, learning, and student support. We invite you to register and join us.

We will explore and design use cases of Google Gemini AI, similar to ChatGPT but more versatile for education. Gemini is used as an AI-powered assistant, designed to enhance teaching and learning. It enables educators with rapid content and lesson planning, AI-assisted feedback and assessment, and creative and visual material generation. It also offers Gems, a customized AI tool, similar to OpenAI’s custom GPT, that you can create to handle specific tasks and provide expert-level responses. For students, it can serve as a personalized learning assistant (Guided Learning), provides research tools, offers interactive and multisensory learning tools, and facilitate multimodal interaction.

We will introduce prompt strategies which could be used with any other LLMs, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity.
